1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how AZ Golf Tournaments ("AZ Golf Tournaments," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information through this website and its tournament listing, organizer, registration, and payment services (collectively, the "Services"). It does not govern a tournament host's separate website, event operations, or privacy practices.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When an organizer creates or uses an account, we collect the email address associated with the account and an account identifier. Authentication credentials are submitted to our authentication provider; we do not have access to a readable copy of your password.

Tournament and organizer information

Organizers provide tournament name, date, course, city or location, ZIP code, format, entry fee, player capacity, description, selected service package, and related publication or approval information. We associate tournament records with the organizer's account and email address.

Golfer registration information

Golfers may provide first and last name, email address, phone number, optional GHIN number, handicap index or average score and number of holes, team or player preference, and optional special requests or notes. Notes may include information a golfer chooses to provide about playing partners, accessibility needs, or other event needs.

Payment and transaction information

For organizer service-package purchases, we maintain the selected package, amount, payment and checkout status, transaction timestamps, and Stripe Checkout session or payment-intent identifiers. Payment-card details are collected directly by Stripe through Stripe Checkout and are not stored in AZ Golf Tournaments' database.

Location, browser storage, and technical information

If you choose "Near Me," your browser asks permission to access approximate device location and uses the coordinates to build a nearby-tournament search. The site may use browser storage for authentication sessions and limited local or demonstration tournament data. Hosting, security, and service providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, and access times.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide accounts, tournament listings, registration tools, and organizer dashboards.
  • Send golfer registrations to the host responsible for the selected tournament.
  • Process and reconcile organizer service-package payments and publish eligible paid listings.
  • Review submissions, prevent misuse, troubleshoot errors, secure the Services, and maintain administrative records.
  • Send operational account, payment, submission, and administrative notices.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as reasonably necessary for the Services:

  • Tournament hosts. A golfer's registration is made available to the organizer of the selected tournament for participation, teams, communications, and event needs.
  • Service providers. Providers support hosting and serverless infrastructure, database and authentication services, payment processing, and operational email delivery.
  • Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information to comply with law or legal process or to protect rights, safety, security, and the Services.
  • Business changes. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.

5. Stripe Payment Processing

AZ Golf Tournaments does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes. Organizer service-package payments are completed on a Stripe-hosted Checkout page.

Stripe receives and processes the payment and billing information entered during Checkout. We send transaction context such as the tournament identifier, organizer account identifier and email, selected package, tournament name and date, and expected amount so a successful payment can be matched to the correct listing. Stripe's handling of personal information is governed by Stripe's own terms.

The entry fee displayed on a tournament listing is event information supplied by the host. The current Services do not collect golfer entry fees through AZ Golf Tournaments unless a separate checkout option is expressly presented.

6. Retention and Security

We retain information as reasonably needed to provide the Services, maintain transaction and administrative records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and operational need. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may decline optional fields, deny browser location access, or stop using the Services. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when permitted or required by law.

Golfers should contact the relevant tournament host for event-specific communications or host records. Requests about information maintained by AZ Golf Tournaments may be submitted using the contact method provided in your account or service communications.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information should contact us for review.

9. Policy Changes

We may update this policy as the Services or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the latest version. Material changes may also be communicated through the Services or account communications when appropriate.

10. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact AZ Golf Tournaments using the contact method provided in your account, transaction receipt, or other service communication. Include enough information to identify your account or registration, but do not send payment-card information or passwords.
